Some stunning reports which have claimed that Barcelona have put Chelsea target Antoine Griezmann on the transfer market.
Griezmann was one of the most om-demand players of the transfer window last summer, with a whole host of clubs linked with a possible move for the Frenchman, but in the end, it was Barcelona who completed a massive £108 million move to complete the deal.
The Frenchman has been hit and miss for the Spaniards this season as he copes with life at the Camp Nou, but now Spanish outlet AS suggest the club are looking to save money as they come under strain during these unprecedented times.
And the reports suggest Big money signing Griezmann could be put up for sale to raise capital after failing to impress Barcelona bosses since arriving from the Spanish capital in July, and managing resources is key for the club and they may look to ship former Real Sociedad star Griezmann out on loan to get him off the wage bill.
Now reports on the Daily Express website have claimed that Barcelona will consider offers for most of their players this summer, with exception of Lionel Messi.
He has only managed to score 14 goals and provide four assists in 37 appearances in all competitions since sealing his move from Atletico Madrid, and with Barcelona ready to freshen up the side, they will do business if the price is right.
If he did leave the club, the likes of Chelsea would be hoping he could rediscover the form that saw him score 133 goals in 257 appearances while at Ateltcio if he were to make a fresh start in the Premier League. The transfer window is just a few months away now and although the Premier League season has not been concluded, there is a feeling that the transfer window will actually see alot of transfer deals take place.
The coronavirus means that clubs may need to sell to balance the books, meaning that players that shouldnt be on the market, could be available, meaning the likes of Chelsea will be able to sign the likes of Griezmann. They have been fans of the Frenchman for years now and with WIllian leaving, who could be a better replacement than the world cup winning Frenchman?
