Wolves 2 vs 1 Chelsea- Player ratings- as Blues drop points again

Chelsea drew first blood in the game against Wolves at the Molineux Stadium courtesy of an Olivier Giroud strike shortly after the restart, but the home side scored twice with a stoppage time goal from Neto sealing a 2-1 victory for Wolves.

See the player ratings below

Mendy: Would be disappointed for being beaten at his near post for the first goal and couldn’t do much for the second. 5/10

Reece James: Didn’t seem at his best with his deliveries tonight and was easily closed down at the right flank. 6/10

Thiago Silva: His clearance header landed at Podence’s feet for the hosts’ goal. Other than that, he did decently at the back. 6/10

Zouma: Hit the bar in the first half with a stunning header, but was easily beaten by Neto for Wolves dying minute goal. 5/10

Chilwell: Provided the assist for Olivier Giroud’s opener. Did okay in the first half, but his second half performance seemed to lack same bite as the first. 6/10

Kante: Did his normal job at working hard and clearing dangers in the middle of the park, but it somehow seemed like a disjointed performance from Chelsea in midfield nevertheless. 6/10

Mount: Worked hard as usual, but the final ball from midfield was missing tonight. 5/10

Kai Havertz: Yet another awful performance from the German who’s trying to get to grips with the Premier League. Seemed to give his best but he was just not good enough. 4/10

Pulisic: Back to the team after being out with hamstring worries. Started the game brightly, but faded out afterwards. 6/10

Timo Werner: This was a very poor night for the German. His passes were sloppy and he never flowed well with the forward players. 5/10

Giroud: Scored a good goal as he took Chilwell’s delivery with a one time left foot volley for Chelsea’s goal. Did a good job until he was subbed off. 7/10

Subs: Kovacic: Came on for Havertz with about 20 minutes left and produced some good runs with the ball. 5/10

Tammy Abraham: Really tried to work hard after replacing Giroud in the 71st minute, but lacked service. 5/10
