World Cup winner “very close” to £38m move to Chelsea after latest development

Kalidou Koulibaly was introduced as the first defender to join Chelsea this summer to replace the departing Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.

But the Blues can’t and won’t stop there. Now, according to a report in The Sun today, it appears as though the second guy in is “extremely close” to making a similar transfer.

With a £38 million price tag mentioned in their article, Presnel Kimpembe has emerged as the club’s preferred choice to join Koulibaly as part of a new look back line this season.

During their time together at the club, the defender for Paris Saint-Germain collaborated with Thomas Tuchel, and it is obvious that the Chelsea manager is making every effort to persuade the France international to join him at Stamford Bridge.

Goncalo Inacio, a center back for Sporting Club of Portugal, has being eyed by PSG as a possible Kimpembe replacement.
