Zidane makes crucial Eden Hazard Chelsea U-turn, Blues target accepts Five-year Madrid deal, as Roman breaks silence after Chelsea withdraw from Super league plans

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane was keen to see former Chelsea star Eden Hazard make a sensational return from injury to face his former club, as Real Madrid and Chelsea face each other in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Hazard has not played since mid-March due to injury, and his move to the Los Blancos has indeed been blighted by injuries.

When speaking to the media over the weekend, Zidane revealed that Hazard is “ready” to make a return to action.

“He is feeling very better and he is ready,” said Zidane. “He wants to be back more than anyone else.

“We have been more cautious with [Dani] Carvajal and Hazard, because they are relapses. They are both better and that is good for the team.”

However, when speaking ahead of Madrid’s La Liga clash with Cadiz on Wednesday night, Zidane admitted that Hazard isn’t ready yet for a return to action.

“Hazard will not be there and Toni Kroos will not be there,” Zidane said at a news conference. “If Hazard is not there, it is because he is not one hundred percent.

“The important thing is that when he returns he is one hundred percent.

“Eden’s feeling is not the same and you have to be very attentive.

“I just said it, it’s a different case. Your feeling is the most important.”

Blues target accepts Five-year Madrid deal.

Bayern Munich defender David Alaba has allegedly accepted a five-year contract with Real Madrid.

The 28-year-old has spent most of his career as a key figure at the Allianz Arena, helping Bayern Munich to different prizes on the domestic and European scene.

Nonetheless, regardless of his status at the Bundesliga giants, the Austria international has decided to take on another test with his contract due to terminate toward the end of June.

As per Sky Deutschland writer Max Bielefeld, David Alaba has indicated that he will sign a long term deal at the Bernabeu soon.

While Barcelona had also been keen on signing the talented player, it is asserted that the Catalan outfit are currently no longer in the running.

The talented defender has remained as a regular for Bayern all through this season, making 41 appearances in all competitions.

Roman breaks silence after Chelsea withdraw from Super league plans

A spokesperson for Roman Abramovich has spoken on behalf of the Chelsea owner following their withdrawal from the European Super League.

Chelsea were the first team to show their intent of withdrawing from the new Super League, 48 hours after becoming one of the last teams to confirm their participation in the competition.

It was a club decision which backfired – that was the story among every club. It was heavily protested by all supporters. It saw Chelsea fans protest outside Stamford Bridge to make their voices heard.

Shortly after, during the protests, reports emerged of the Blues preparing the documentation to withdraw. It was confirmed in the early hours of Wednesday morning when they released a statement confirming their U-turn.

“Chelsea Football Club can confirm that it has begun the formal procedures for withdrawal from the group developing plans for a European Super League,” read a statement.

“Having joined the group late last week, we’ve now had time to consider the matter fully and have decided that our continued participation in these plans would not be in the best interests of the Club, our supporters or the wider football community.”

Bruce Buck, the Chelsea chairman, is believed to have been leading the ESL plans from the Blues’ point of view, which has seen the Supporters’ Trust call for him to resign. However there are no plans for any resignations following the backlash.

However, owner Abramovich has spoken on the decision to reverse their initial decision which has reportedly left him ‘livid’ after he was blindsided.

As reported by the Telegraph, a spokesperson for Abramovich said: “Having spoken extensively to fans and stakeholders, we have always worked with the community and we’re not going to do anything that goes against them. We listened and we heard.”
