Revealed: When Chelsea could announce Thomas Tuchel as manager

Chelsea take on Wolves in the Premier League on Wednesday and Thomas Tuchel is expected to be in the dugout at Stamford Bridge.

However, according to The Athletic, Tuchel will be bringing three members of his backroom team with him to Cobham on Tuesday. Anthony Barry has also remained at Cobham.

Lampard’s assistants Jody Morris and Chris Jones departed the club with the manager on Monday as Chelsea half-cleared house but kept some of Lampard’s staff around the club.

It remains to be seen whether they will be a part of Tuchel’s coaching staff going forward.

The German manager will then conduct interviews with Chelsea’s in-house TV channel before being presented to the world’s media, over Zoom of course, afterwards.

It’s a very quick turnaround for the new Blues manager, who will then be straight back into training to prepare for Sunday’s visit of Burnley to Stamford Bridge for his second game as manager.
