CONFIRMED: The amount Abramovich will pay Lampard after sacking him

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich sacked club legend Frank Lampard after he was sacked on Monday morning just 18 months after he signed a three-year deal to become Chelsea boss.

Chelsea will reportedly pay Lampard just six months’ severance pay instead of 18 months after his dismissal on Monday morning.

This is because the deal was actually two years with the option of an additional year, according to the Telegraph.

With Chelsea yet to trigger the extension, the Blues are only liable for the remaining six months after letting him go.

Lampard’s contract with Chelsea saw the club legend earn £4million per year as Chelsea boss.

Meanwhile, Lampard managed 57 Premier League matches with a record of 1.67 points per game, the worst of any Stamford Bridge boss during Roman Abramovich’s 18-year era.
