£110K a-week player set to return to Chelsea after loan spell

Up till now Chelsea are yet to sell midfielder Timoue Bakayoko, Chelsea signed up Bakayoko in the summer of 2017 from Monaco, and the Frenchman was part of a highly rated Monaco squad that also had the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Bernardo Silva.

With just 43 appearances for Chelsea, Bakayoko hasn’t featured again for the club, and a series of loan spells haven’t worked out for the Frenchman.

In his five years at the club, Bakayoko has gone on loan four times, and his latest loan to Milan came alongside a two-year contract extension in August.

Milan included an option to buy of around €15-€20m. And that would turn into an obligation if certain conditions are met. With the conditions revolving around appearances, it’s unlikely he’s met any of those.

According to reports, Milan aren’t interested in Bakayoko any longer, with Pianet Milan journalist Daniele Triolo, while speaking to Toro News claimed that Bakayoko will be heading back to London.
