Jules Kounde of Sevilla is supposedly on the verge of joining Chelsea after accepting personal terms, according to reports.

Kounde has played a key role for Sevilla this season, starting 31 La Liga games and five Champions League games to help them finish in the top four.

He is regarded as one of the best young center defenders in the game right now, and Thomas Tuchel is said to believe he is the best candidate to replace Antonio Rudiger.

He is quick and agile with the ball in his hands, but at 5’11”, the young international is neither tall nor broad for a central defense, which could pose him problems in the Premier League.

Now, according to trade guru Andreas Korssund, the player has accepted personal terms with Chelsea, who are willing to pay Sevilla’s £59 million asking price.

Korssung tweeted: “Jules Kounde is closing in on a move to Chelsea.

“The Blues will conclude talks with Sevilla as soon as Boehly’s takeover is complete and they are ready to pay the required fee.

“Personal terms have already been agreed and the Frenchman is only waiting for Chelsea.”

Marina Granovskaia makes Chelsea decision ahead of summer transfer

According to reports, Marina Granovskaia is poised to stay at Chelsea for the summer transfer window following Todd Boehly’s ownership of the club.

The director is in control of the club’s transactions and contracts, with the Blues expected to have a busy summer at the end of the season.

Boehly is expected to finalize his buyout of Chelsea in the coming weeks, with the American investor having already seen some of the club’s recent matches.

According to the Daily Mail, Granovskaia has informed Boehly and his consortium that she will remain at the club over the summer.

However, she may only be at Chelsea for a limited time, with her long-term future at the club ‘in doubt.’

It was originally rumored that she will meet with Boehly again to discuss whether or not she would stay at the club after the takeover was completed.

She has already served on the board of directors at Stamford Bridge for nine years, although it is unclear if she will continue after the summer.

Chelsea will lose center defenders Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen when their contracts expire at the end of the season.

The club has been unable to act in the transfer market as a result of the sanctions imposed on current owner Roman Abramovich.

Boss Thomas Tuchel has yet to hear about the summer money he will have to work with, but Boehly is expected to massively invest in the team when he comes.
