Tammy Abraham and Kai Havertz were involved in everything good that Chelsea did in the 6-0 thrashing of Barnsley in the Carabao Cup third round tie on Wednesday.

Havertz scored a hat-trick, while Tammy scored one, but the link-up between the two was extraordinary. Tammy helped assist Kai Havertz as well for one of his goal and did a stunning dummy for another.

Speaking after the game, the Chelsea marquee signing, Harvetz, admitted that he enjoyed playing alongside Tammy Abraham.

We might see the duo link up yet again against West Brom, as Frank Lampard admitted that he was impressed with their partnership, as he also hailed Olivier Giroud who did well from the bench.

Lampard told the media ahead of the game: “It gives me a nice problem to see the way they linked and to see the attributes of Tammy and Kai and see a form of an understanding, albeit in one game.

Those are the challenges that lie ahead for us, trying to work on those combinations with the newer players we have coming in.

“We also saw Olivier Giroud come on and make an impact in terms of his goal and also he could have made two or three really good assists, and I need those options. There is a really long season ahead and we need different ways of breaking down teams.”
