Ashley Cole makes claims that Chelsea was quite in a hurry to sell Tariq Lamptey who dribbles better than the Liverpool duo.

The England international make a swap to Brighton and Hove Albion in January. Cole believes that he is a better dribbler than Liverpool duo Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Lamptey joined Brighton for less than £5million and the deal has no buy-back clause in it. This states that Chelsea cannot sign Tariq Lamptey from Brighton through a buy-back clause. He has been with Chelsea from the age of eight and is one of Chelsea’s Standout academy players.

Recently Lamptey became a member of the England under-21 football team and has impressed with a catching display in his Chelsea debut. The 19-year old has been one of Brighton’s standout players as he continues plying his trade outside Europe.

Cole told Sky Sports PL (20/09/20 at 1:35 pm) That Frank Lampard doesn’t have any end product after Lamptey with the best dribbling skills moved with Seagulls. If one compares the end with the Liverpool duo.

The former Chelsea defender was amazed by the quality that Lamptey possesses. He compared the qualities that are better than two of Liverpool’s best defenders. Speaking of which in an interview with Sky Sports. He claimed that he was left surprised. He further claimed that he’s ahead of Robertson and Trent in dribbling.

Furthermore, he praises his dribbling saying that he’s best with the ball. He drives the ball as Lamptey is quick, effective and so far the 19-year old has played pretty well.

There is a number of players at Stamford Bridge who were brought up at Chelsea academy. But instead parted ways with the club due to little game time. Although there is a good number of right-backs in England and more established than Lamptey. But only a few can rise as quickly as Brighton star Tariq Lamptey.
