’Will personally take him to Chelsea’: Club legend reveals why he’ll bring 130M Chelsea target to Stamford Bridge
Former Inter Milan striker Antonio Cassano has questioned why Romelu Lukaku will be making the move to Chelsea after his previously disappointing spell at the club as a youngster.
Lukaku moved to Manchester United in 2017 for a fee of £75m, but was shipped off to Inter Milan after two years.
The Belgian has been a beast of a striker for the Nerazzurri, and their ex striker Cassano believes he’s only keen on a return to Chelsea for the money.
The lifelong Inter fan has also admitted that he’d take Lukaku to Chelsea himself if the Blues table up the offer that’s being reported by the media.
“If this is really how much they are offering, I’d take him there personally,” said the lifelong Inter supporter and retired forward Cassano on Twitch.
“Having said that, I want to figure out what’s going on here. He had two really bad experiences in England, one decent one with Everton, and he wants to go back there.
“I have to ask myself, why go back to a club that didn’t appreciate you? Is it for money?”
