New Chelsea player reacts after playing his first match with club
Before the sanctions, Chelsea signed Charlton Athletic academy product Mason Burstow, but the 18-year-old rejoined back League One side Charlton Athletic for the rest of the season on loan.
However, On May 2, Burstow returned to Chelsea as he said goodbye to boyhood club Charlton.
The young Lad made his first appearance for the Chelsea U23 side in the final game of their Premier League 2 campaign on Sunday.
The Blues U-23 side avoided relegation with a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur, with Burstow completing the match as a lone striker.
Malang Sarr and Trevoh Chalobah also featured in that game.
Burstow took to his Instagram page to express his emotions after the game.
He simply wrote: “What a start!!”
