Abramovich promise to Tuchel revealed, as Blues ready to part ways with 27-year-old forward

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich had a meeting with Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel after he led the Blues to Champions League glory.

It appears as though Abramovich is ready to open up the cheque book for the second summer in a row after spending big last summer despite the pandemic.

The Blues were Europe’s biggest spenders last summer having spent close to £250million on new recruits.

According to Daily Star, Abramovich has ‘promised’ Tuchel that he will have money to spend on new signings this summer.

Abramovich has been impressed with the impact Tuchel has had at Chelsea since his appointment and has since rewarded the German tactician with a fresh contract up until 2024.

Chelsea ready to part ways with 27-year-old forward

Chelsea attacker Michy Batshuayi has allegedly been told that he is free to depart Stamford Bridge this summer’s transfer window, having spent the campaign on loan at Crystal Palace.

The under-performing Belgium centre-forward only managed two goals and as many assists in 18 Premier League matches for Roy Hodgson’s team during the just-completed campaign.

After arriving in London from the Ligue 1 side Marseille for £33.2 million back in 2016, Michy never managed to establish himself as a regular in the Blues team and that resulted in him embarking on loan transfers to Borussia Dortmund and Valencia before heading to the Selhurst Park outfit.

According to a recent report from football london, at least one top-half PL side is interested in signing Michy, who despite an average campaign has been selected to represent his country at the European Championships this summer.

It is said that Chelsea will be hoping to receive a sum in excess of £10 million for the striker, who is expected to return to Cobham to train with the west London heavyweights after the Euros are concluded.

The 27-year-old striker has scored 25 goals in 77 matches for Chelsea during the three seasons he wasn’t out on loan.
