After Aubameyang, Chelsea set to sign another top dutch-man striker for free

The transfer of Barcelona forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Chelsea is virtually complete.

Aubameyang is anticipated to sign a contract with Chelsea today.

Chelsea, however, is currently closing close on a different Barcelona attacker.

According to Spanish transfer expert Gerard Romero, Chelsea are set to sign up the Netherlands international from Barcelona after just one year at the Camp Nou.

Depay has shone at Lyon and Barcelona, and is able to play as a central striker, having netted 12 goals for Barcelona in the La Liga last season. He also scored 12 in 10 games for the Netherlands in World Cup qualification.

Depay has an agreement with Barcelona that he can leave for free if he finds a club that will pay his wages. This means his one year contract with Barcelona will be terminated, and he can leave for free.

Meanwhile, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has said that the deal isn’t happening.

But we’d keep our fingers crossed this one. Anything can happen on deadline day.
