After five years, Former Chelsea top target finally wants to replace Antonio Rudiger at Chelsea

Chelsea had previously been connected with a bid for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, but the deal fell through.

However, Koulibaly was a top target for Chelsea when Antonio Conte was in charge at Chelsea, but the transfer fell through.

Kalidou Koulibaly’s agent is reportedly eyeing a deal with either Chelsea or Barcelona now that he is 30 years old.

According to Area Napoli, Koulibaly is looking for a new challenge in a foreign league, and his agent has reached out to Chelsea and Barcelona.

Koulibaly’s contract expires in just over a year, and Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis, who had previously opposed a transfer and had turned down a £60 million deal from Chelsea, is now open to a €35 million (£29.58 million) offer for the center-back who has spent eight years in Naples.

Chelsea would need to acquire two centre-backs this summer to replace Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, who are both leaving.
