‘Against Chelsea? as Chesterfield trolls Tottenham after what Chelsea did in both legs
Chelsea defeated Spurs 3-0 over two legs and defeated Chesterfield 5-1, with the non-league side celebrating their only goal as a trophy.
However, The Blues have scaled through the Cup fixtures as the Blues had to play three Cup fixtures within a week — a doubled legged Carabao Cup semi-final tie with Tottenham, and an FA Cup third round tie against Chesterfield in-between.
Funny enough, Chesterfield have taken to social media to mock Spurs over their inability to score against Chelsea.
Chesterfield’s official Twitter account took a shot at Spurs after last night’s win:
“Not everyone can score against the European champions,” they wrote.
Meanwhile, Chesterfield had sent out a message of thanks to the Blues after the game:
“A massive thanks to @ChelseaFC for the way they looked after us today! From the moment we walked into the stadium, we were given everything we needed and more. They were absolutely top class and we are so thankful for everything! What a day for everyone!”
