Almost done: Chelsea leading race to sign 42-goals Brazilian forward

Chelsea have been long linked with making a move to sign former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho, and the rumour appears to be bubbling up once again.

Things had gone quiet on that front, since the £110 million fee being mentioned would have likely put Chelsea off.

However, now there has been a couple reports suggesting that Barcelona are now willing to let the midfielder leave on loan for a £10 million loan fee, this could be a more appealing and low-risk move for Chelsea to make.

This information is from an Exclusive report from The Daily Express, who cite Chelsea as leading the way to sign the Brazilian international on loan this summer.

They claim that Frank Lampard has been keeping a close eye on Coutinho as he looks to be in the market for one ‘big-name signing’.

The report doesn’t mention anything about an option or an obligation to buy in the loan deal, as Chelsea would be unlikely to agree to an obligation at least.
