Angry Lampard confirms winger will start the next game against Aston Villa
Following yesterday defeat to Arsenal, It’s been confirmed Chelsea boos Frank Lampard that Callum Hudson-Odoi will start Chelsea’s next game on Monday night against Aston Villa.
Lampard praised the youngster when he talked to Chelsea TV after yesterday’s defeat to Arsenal.
“Callum did really well, Callum was fantastic with his energy. That’s what we absolutely needed. That’s why he’ll play in the next game and if Callum plays like that he can be a serious player.”
The winger came on at half-time in yesterday’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal and made an immediate impact for the Blues crossing for Tammy Abraham to score and provide Chelsea with a lifeline late on.
Chances of a comeback were dashed when Jorginho missed a penalty, the result leaves Lampard’s side in seventh place in the table and six points behind leaders Liverpool who play West Brom later on today.
