Another Chelsea winger returns back to club after injury worries
Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi was missing in action in England’s U21 clash against Portugal on Sunday.
Hudson-Odoi had reportedly picked up a shoulder injury in training, which made him miss the game.
The Chelsea youngster had played the entire 90 minutes in England’s defeat to Switzerland, and it’s believed that the shoulder injury he suffered in training made him miss the next game.
There were hopes that Hudson-Odoi could be available for the Young Lions next game against Croatia, but he has now left the English camp to return back to Chelsea for further checkup.
England U21 boss Aidy Boothroyd has confirmed that the 20-year-old has returned back to the club following the injury.
“Callum is definitely out and he has gone back to his club,” Boothroyd told reporters on Tuesday.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will be hoping to have a full squad available to face West Brom on Saturday, as there are already some injury worries following the international break.
