‘Anything can happen’- As £130million player could join Chelsea before transfer deadline after latest manager decision
Chelsea have shown an interest in signing Saul Niguez but have been unable to reach an agreement with Ireland over a transfer for the midfielder.
Saul, who has a release clause of £130million, could still join Chelsea before the end of the transfer window after Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone left the door open for a possible departure for the midfielder.
Simeone said: “Today I told him everything I think and feel, there is not much else.
“He’s been with us since we came here. We took him out of the academy and helped him achieve everything that he could achieve in his career.
“Now we will see what happens. We know that in football a lot of things can happen”
