‘Awesome! Chelsea fans loved what Timo Werner did in training ahead of Brighton clash (Video)

As we all know Chelsea will take on Brighton in their first Premier League match of the new season, and Timo Werner is expected to make his debut at the Amex

Chelsea are preparing for their first Premier League game of the season against Brighton & Hove Albion. Frank Lampard takes his side to the Amex Stadium, looking to earn three points and make the perfect start to the 2020/21 campaign.

The Blues will want to build upon last season, where they finished fourth in the Premier League and reached the FA Cup final, and have already demonstrated their intent with a number of high quality signings in the transfer window.

However, One of Chelsea’s first signings of the summer was Timo Werner, who agreed a move from RB Leipzig in early June whilst the restarted season was still ongoing.

The Germany striker has established himself as one of the elite strikers in Europe with his displays in the Bundesliga and at international level, scoring 28 goals in 34 league appearances last season. Werner is expected to make his full Chelsea debut at the Amex on Monday evening, and ahead of the game, the Blues posted a video of the striker in training.

However, The clip showed Werner burying shots from all angles, with both feet, and many left the goalkeeper with no chance. Fans took to twitter to hail the striker, and express their excitement to watch him in action.

One wrote: “This new training video demonstrating our new No. 11 has certainly got me confident that we’ll see out a great win at Brighton. Can’t wait to see what a full-strength starting 11 will do during the campaign, particularly as partnerships develop. Expect some fine goals if Werner keeps up his training form! ”

Another posted: “Awesome video, I can’t wait for Monday.”

Along with Werner, Chelsea are expected to have Christian Pulisic available for selection, after the winger recovered quicker than expected from a hamstring injury.
