Barcelona makes Hakim Ziyech January transfer decision as Fabrizio Romano explain deal

According to latest reports, Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech had been linked with a January move to Spanish side Barcelona after failing to secure a regular place in the starting XI under Thomas Tuchel.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano explains why: Hakim Ziyech won’t join Barcelona in January.

However, new Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez is keen on strengthening his attacking options in January and Ziyech was one of the players on his transfer shortlist.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now ruled out a January move to the La Liga side for the Ziyech.

According to Romano, Ziyech won’t leave Chelsea for Barcelona in January due to the Spanish side agreeing a deal with Manchester City to sign Ferran Torres.

With Torres and Ziyech preferring to operate in the same wide areas, a move for the Chelsea winger is now unnecessary for Barcelona.

Meanwhile, reports have also claimed Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel sees Ziyech as an important part of his team and won’t let the winger leave in January.
