Ahead of Saturday’s Champions League clash between Chelsea and Bayern Munich in Germany, Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick has praised Frank Lampard for doing an “extraordinary” job at Chelsea.
Flick said: “I can say that Lampard has been doing an extraordinary job at Chelsea because they have managed to qualify for the Champions League next season via the Premier League.
“They were pretty successful after the restart and I watched the last matches of Chelsea of course and I like the way they play and how they performed.
“It was a difficult situation of course with difficult conditions, conditions before the start of the season when he first started.
“But when you look at the end of the season and what he achieved, how he performed, he really had an extraordinary season with his team.
“So I guess that Chelsea are very happy about him and his work. Compliments to him.”
