Ben Chilwell finally gives ‘touching’ update on his injury against Juventus as Tuchel reacted

The Chelsea left wing-backl has been in top form of late, but the 24-year-old suffered a scary injury in the Champions League clash against Juventus on Tuesday night.

Chilwell was in severe pain in the second half against Juventus, and limped off the field with the support of the Blues’ physios as he was replaced by Cesar Azpilicueta.

The Blues have a massive game this weekend against Manchester United, and Chilwell will be hoping he can return to action as soon as possible.

Taking to social media, Chilwell posted a picture of himself limping from the field, as he wrote: “Champions league nights. Hopefully injury is not too bad.”

However, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is hopeful that his in-form left wing-back won’t be out for too long.

“It worries me because he was in such a fantastic moment, like Reece on the other side,” he told his post-match press conference.

“They were in the best shape they could possibly be. So strong, full of confidence, and quality. He was in a lot of pain and now he feels a bit better.”
