Big news from Germany! Chelsea fans given a big update about the possible signing of Havertz

Chelsea’s signing of Kai Havertz is being held up by Bayer Leverkusen’s demands over when bonuses are paid, reports claim.

Chelsea have been very active in the transfer market this summer and have started to build a squad that could mount a serious challenge for that Premier League title, especially as the teams above them have not yet done much business.

But one man that the club are desperate to sign is that of Havertz, who netted an impressive goals in the Bundesliga last season and is easily regarded as one of the finest talents in the game.

The latest reports have claimed that The Blues have agreed a £72m deal for the Germany star, which could reach £90m with add-ons, but According to Bild, it’s the add-ons which are causing the delay.

“They’re very close, the parties, because of the price,” said Bild journalist Christian Falk.

“It’s a question of add-ons – €80m should be paid directly and then €10m and €10m. The hold-up is when.”

Look, this rumour has been going on for months now and there is constant rumours that a deal for the player is done, so if Chelsea are seriously desperate to make sure that Havertz will be at the club next season, they need to hurry up and try to get a deal done.

He is a very special talent that will bring in a few more goals and assists to the side, which will again help the club push on to try and secure a Premier League title.
