Billy Gilmour sends Timo Werner back to Germany in Chelsea training ahead of Burnley clash

The Chelsea team had a training session on Friday ahead of the Premier League game against Burnley on Saturday.

Chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour was part of the training session having gotten injured during the Blues’ game against Crystal Palace in July – right after the restart of the season.

The 19-year-old suffered heavy knee ligament damage and faced a lengthy spell on the sidelines, and had to undergo surgery.

Gilmour hasn’t taken time to showcase his talent on the training ground. The Scotland Under-21 international was all smiles as he trained with his teammates, and one highlight of the training was his nutmeg on new Chelsea striker Timo Werner.

A photographer was sharp to capture the incident, and Werner himself looked embarrassed.

Gilmour was a favourite for Lampard last season as he broke into the first team, but he is still quite a long shot away from full match fitness.
