Chelsea fans call for Eden Hazard transfer as Belgian suffers fresh Real Madrid blow
Hazard was a god at Chelsea during his time with the club and helped the Blues to win multiple trophies along to becoming one of the very best attackers in the Premier League.
However, the lure of a move to Real Madrid was hard to turn down, and despite the fact that Chelsea did not want to lose their star man, they had to make the decision to let the Belgian to leave the club and make his dream move to the Bernabeu
But in his first 18-months with Los Blancos, he has played just 28 times in all competitions, with injuries blighting his time in the Spanish capital. The 29-year-old was making just his third La Liga appearance against Alaves on Saturday, but lasted less than a half, being replaced by Rodrygo after 30 minutes.
Following the game, which Real lost 2-1, Ziedine Zidane revealed he was yet to know the full extent of his injury, but was hopeful it wasn’t a muscular injury: “I think and hope it’s just a knock,” he said at his post-game press conference. “I hope it’s not muscular.”
Now Chelsea fans have taken to social media and urged their former star to make a move back to the club: “Come back home,” one fan said . “We love you. I wish you a speedy recovery champ!”
“We need to bring Hazard back home I don’t care if the squad will be too big. Instead of linking with Messi in the transfer window bring our boy home. Make it happen Marina,” a third pleaded.
“Hazard off injured again just proves how he loved and enjoyed playing for Chelsea. Honeymoon is over, come back home,” a fifth replied to the news.
“Hazards move to Real Madrid has been a nightmare. He needs to move back to Chelsea, he’s a shadow of the player he once was,” another Chelsea fan concluded.
It would be a surprise to see Hazard make the move back to the club, but even if he did, these injuries at Madrid have meant that he is not the same player he was just a few seasons ago, it has ruined his time in Madrid.
