Blues hold talks with agent and parents of Brazilian Wonder-kid valued 34M
According to reports in the Brazilian media, Endrick of Palmeiras’ agent and parents have met with Chelsea.
Even though the 16-year-old just finalized his first professional contract last week and won’t be able to switch teams until he is 18, teams are already competing to sign him.
Endrick’s contract has a €40 million (£34 million) release clause that can only be activated in the first year, and Chelsea is reportedly willing to pay €30 million (£25.2 million) upfront with a further €10 million (£8.4 million) in add-ons.
Due to the overwhelming level of interest from rival teams, the Blues are moving so quickly to capture the teenager’s services. The youthful forward is reportedly a target for Manchester United, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, and Real Madrid.
Endrick hasn’t yet appeared in a single match for the first team, but Palmeiras are reportedly open to hearing bids for him. Even if Chelsea declines to pay the player’s buyout cost, it seems probable that someone else would.
