Blues to hijack £60m Manchester united key target, as Chelsea star ask club to pay him more wages or he could leave

Chelsea won the Champions league under Thomas Tuchel after former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was sacked.

However, with this achievement, Tuchel is really determined to fight for the Premier league next season, and he’s looking forward to sign some important players to strengthen his squad as new season approaches.

According to latest reports, Thomas Tuchel is reportedly interested in hijacking a key Manchester United transfer target this summer.

According to Eurosport via Metro, Chelsea are considering hijacking Manchester United’s move for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane.

Varane, who has spent almost a decade at the Bernabeu, has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, but Eurosport say Chelsea are also interested in securing his signature.

Varane is stalling over signing a new Real Madrid contract and recent reports claim the France international is keen on a move to the Premier League.

Eurosport say Chelsea have other defensive targets in mind in case Varane, 28, ends up staying at Real Madrid.

Varane started all four of France’s matches at Euro 2020, including their dramatic last-16 penalty shootout defeat to Switzerland.

Antonio Rudiger was close to an exit from the club under former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard. His value dropped under Lampard as he sought an exit from the club due to lack of playing time.

However, Rudiger has become a man in form under Thomas Tuchel and his value has massively increased.

Rudiger has one year left on his contract with Chelsea, and talks have so far not been progressive.

According to Eurosport, Rudiger and his representatives want Chelsea to add £60,000 to his current £140,000-per-week package.

According to the report, previous talks were held in March, and the 28-year-old demanded for a £20,000 weekly pay rise.

With Rudiger’s current form and value, the club may just have to meet his demands or risk losing him.

He seems the best or probably only candidate suited for the left center back role in the three-man defence. Rudiger was superb in the second half of last season.
