Blues to hijack €120m Man United summer deal, Tuchel wants Champions league winner at Chelsea as blues release new Champions League squad..in Chelsea247 roundup

Manchester United have long been the frontrunners to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, but new Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel could disrupt their plans in the summer transfer window

According to reports, Chelsea look set to rival Manchester United for the signature of Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

Sancho has been a long-term target for both clubs, although United were the only team to show firm interest last summer.

The Red Devils wanted to bring the 20-year-old to Old Trafford but were put off by Dortmund’s colossal €120mil valuation.

Rivals Chelsea didn’t enter the race for Sancho and chose to spend their money on the likes of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz instead.

But now the Blues could be back in for the England winger with Dortmund set to significantly reduce their asking price.

Coronavirus has hit the German club hard with losses at Signal Iduna Park expected to run close to the €100mil mark.

Tuchel wants Jerome Boateng at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea new manager Thomas Tuchel is reportedly keen to bring Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng to Stamford Bridge once the summer transfer window opens.

The hugely experienced centre-back has featured in 346 matches in all competitions for Bayern Munich.

During his decade in Munich, the German defender has had a huge hand in his side lifting 24-major trophies, including two Champions League and eight Bundesliga titles.

Despite growing to become one of Germany’s most reliable centre-backs in modern times, Boateng has been linked with a shock move back to the Premier League.

According to a recent written report from BILD (as relayed by Metro), the 32-year-old has emerged as a transfer target for Tuchel’s Blues.

The German tactician is rumoured to be a big fan of Boateng, who he previously tried to sign whilst managing Paris-Saint Germain.

Boateng’s contract at Bayern Munich is set to expire in the summer and Tuchel is believed to have highlighted him as an option should he fail in his pursuit for team-mate David Alaba.
