Brand new signing announces ‘honoured to join such a big club’ after Chelsea announcement
After completing his transfer to Chelsea, Gabriel Slonina has written his first letter to Blues supporters.
Slonina is a player who Chelsea has been interested in signing for some months, but at one point it appeared like they would miss out on the player when it became known that Real Madrid was interested in a transfer deal.
But in the end, Chelsea was able to secure a contract for the gifted young player, and they recently announced that he had just accepted to transfer to Stamford Bridge.
Slonina joins Senegal defender Kalidou Koulibaly and England forward Raheem Sterling as Chelsea’s third summer additions, though it is anticipated that he won’t be the last.
Slonina said on social media after agreeing to a six-year contract with Chelsea that he felt honoured to join the biggest team in London and a major club like Chelsea: “Honored to be a part of such a large, storied club.
“It’s a privilege to wear the badge of the best side in London.
‘Thank you to all the fans for the warm welcome. Can’t wait to get started!’
