BREAKING: Brighton release fresh statement about £50m Chelsea target

Marc Cucurella, a defender for Brighton, has been linked to Chelsea.

However, Fabrizio Romano, a transfer expert, continued by saying that everything is now finalized.

Romano wrote: “Marc Cucurella to Chelsea, here we go! Full agreement in place between Chelsea and Brighton for more than £50m. Levi Colwill on the verge of joining Brighton soon. #CFC

“Personal terms already agreed, no way for Man City. Cucurella will become Chelsea new signing, done.”

Brighton has now released a statement claiming that no deal has been struck with Chelsea.

The Seagulls wrote: “Contrary to inaccurate reports from numerous media outlets this evening, no agreement has been reached with any club to sell Marc Cucurella.”

Meanwhile, Sky Sports chief reporter Kaveh Solhekol has insisted it’s a done deal.

According to Solhekol, sources involved in the deal have told Sky Sports News that a deal has been agreed in principle.

The deal is expected to be wrapped, with Brighton also keen on Chelsea defender Levi Colwill.
