BREAKING: Chelsea call players back from abroad as return to training date set

Whilst the world continues to fight the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Premier League have put together their plans to get the current season restarted in June.

According to Matt Law of The Telegraph, the league plan to restart limited group training on May the 11th, full training on May the 18th, then a restart of matches behind closed doors as early as June the 8th.

As impossible as this still seems due to their still seemingly being a lack of testing in the UK, Chelsea have asked their players who are currently visiting family abroad to head back to London by Sunday in preparation for a return to training, as The Telegraph further reports.

Chelsea players would have been keeping themselves fully fit throughout the lock down using home equipment and nutrition and coaching regimes put together by the club.

However, nothing is the same as actually being out on the field doing drills, so it will take them all some time to get match fit again.
