BREAKING: Chelsea send massive message to Real Madrid after trashing Southampton 6-0

What a win for Chelsea this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Chelsea had sent the wrong message to Real Madrid a week ago after losing to Brentford 4-1 before that clash. Real Madrid ended up beating Chelsea 3-1 at Stamford Bridge.

Ahead of the return leg against Madrid, Chelsea visited the St Mary’s Stadium to face Southampton, and the Blues gave the Saints the beating of their lives.

Chelsea put six past Fraser Forster, but it could easily have been more, with Timo hitting the post three times.

Chelsea scored four in the first half, with Marcos Alonso slamming a fine Mason Mount assist into the net eight minutes into the game.

A fine Mason Mount strike made it 2-0 eight minutes later. By the 21st minute, Timo Werner who had hit the post twice scored his first of the game.

Kai Havertz capitalised on Werner’s shot which hit the bar for his goal on the 31st minute, which was Chelsea’s fourth.

Five minutes after the restart, Timo Werner scored his brace and by the 54th minute, Mason Mount wrapped up the victory with the sixth goal.

Indeed, Chelsea were on fire for this game, and it was great to see the boys play with such confidence after two below par performances.
