Luckily, Chelsea have still managed to deal with contractual business despite being in a world wide lock down. We can do most things via video links these days, which makes it all easier.

In this case, it has also helped ease some confusion and security for two of their current players, Olivier Giroud and Faustino Anjorin.

We had heard that both players have agreed to new contract extensions with the club, but nothing official has been publicly confirmed as of yet.

But in a fresh report from Goal, their Chelsea correspondent Nizaar Kinsella has confirmed that the club will announce both new deals in the coming days.

Chelsea will confirm that they are using the option to extend Giroud’s contract by an extra year, and Anjorin is set for a new long term deal.

It’s great news for the club still being able to tie up deals in these unprecedented times.
