BREAKING: Chelsea ‘Top’ transfer target undergoes ankle surgery

According to Daily Star, Chelsea transfer target Philippe Coutinho has undergone minor surgery on his right ankle and is set to begin rehab in around two weeks time.

The Brazilian, currently on loan at German giants Bayern Munich, has been offered to Chelsea by Barcelona after Bayern Munich refused to make his stay permanent.

His former club Liverpool also reportedly rejected the chance to re-sign Coutinho.

Coutinho’s agent Kia Joorabchian recently admitted the Brazilian wants a return to the Premier League.

“Everything is a possibility. After the Champions League game he played in England we had a long chat about it”, Joorabchian told Sky Sports.

“The Premier League is something that he has always enjoyed playing in, and loved playing in, and would probably love to come back and play in.

“The question is what are going to be the financial conditions of all the clubs, including Barcelona and all the Premier League clubs at the end of this pandemic.”
