Brilliant midfielder told to complete Chelsea transfer deal after holding talks with Tuchel

According reports, Billy Gilmour has been advised by Noel Whelan to pursue a permanent transfer away from Chelsea during the summer transfer window.

It is very simple to forget that there are a number of talented stars already at the club who are strongly rumored to leave the Blues with all the players being linked with a move to Chelsea this summer.

After moving to the Under-23 squad from the first team’s preseason trip, Gilmour is scheduled to speak with Thomas Tuchel. It is commonly believed that Gilmour will leave the organization during the transfer window.

Whelan has urged the young midfielder to look for a permanent move in order to take an essential first step in building a successful career. It has been repeatedly stated that Newcastle manager Eddie Howe would love to sign him on loan in the upcoming weeks.

He told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury: “I don’t see where he’s going with Chelsea,”

“The fact that this will be his second loan in two seasons – that tells a story. He’s 21 and in the Scotland side, but not in the Chelsea side – the writing is on the wall.

“He’s not needed at the club. He needs to try and get a permanent move somewhere and get settled at that club.

“That’s the only way you can start forging your career properly and feeling like you belong somewhere.

“It’s very easy to end up just being volleyed by Chelsea every season and going back out on loan every summer.

“It can’t be a good feeling to have a club paying you to go and play somewhere else.”
