Chelsea board re-opens transfer talks with £128,000 a-week attacker

According to Goal, Chelsea have re-opened talks to keep Willian after he rejected an offer from an unnamed Chinese club, but remain unwilling to offer more than a two-year contract.

However, Willian’s Chelsea contract expires at the end of the season and the Brazilian is yet to agree a contract extension with the club.

Willian wanted a three year deal to remain at the club but the Blues have reportedly offered him an improved offer but only a two year contract.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is aware of interest from Arsenal and Tottenham and the Blues boss is keen to keep the winger away from our rivals, amid a spell of good form.

Willian’s good form, which has seen the Brazilian score 3 goals in 3 games since the restart of the Premier League, has forced the club to offer him a new deal.
