Chelsea announcement imminent as five-year deal has been agreed

Andreas Christensen has reportedly agreed to a five-year contract with Barcelona, with an announcement from Chelsea expected soon.

Chelsea has been in the news recently for a variety of reasons, including Roman Abramovic’s decision to sell the club after 19 years of trophy-winning and converting it into one of the best in the game.

However, speculation about the types of players who will join Chelsea in the summer transfer window, as well as those who will leave on free transfers or be sold as the club looks to renovate, has continued.

Despite months of negotiations, Christensen has unable to reach an agreement with Chelsea on a new deal, and the defender admits he is in a ‘difficult situation’ at Stamford Bridge since he does not get the game time he desires.

With the Danish defender’s contract coming to an end, reports have surfaced in recent weeks that Barcelona is interested in completing a trade for the talented defender.

According to AS, the Blues defender has agreed to join the Nou Camp and will earn five million euros per year.
