Chelsea desperate to offer €9.5m a year for World Class defender
Chelsea’s frantic search for central defenders isn’t exactly going as planned.
However, There hasn’t been a single signing at the back for the Blues as of yet one month into the summer. Jules Kounde’s agreement appears to be dead, and Matthijs de Ligt has been outbid by Bayern Munich.
Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli is one player who appears to still be available.
According to Caughtoffside’s claim, Chelsea is prepared to pay the defender €9.5m annually, which would rank him among the most paid defenders in the league.
However, if the transfer cost isn’t as high as it might be with some other players, a top-tier player with tons of experience might be worth it.
