Chelsea evening headlines as Eden Hazard has already opened door to Chelsea return

Chelsea new star Hakim Ziyech admits he has taken inspiration from former Chelsea star Eden Hazard – who has previously vowed to make a return to Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian attacker completed a move to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2019 in a deal worth £83.5million following a fantastic spell in West London.

Hazard won two Premier League titles, two Europa Leagues, one FA Cup and a League Cup in seven years at Chelsea, and is regarded as one of the best players of the modern era to have represented the Blues.

Ziyech admitted that he has taken some inspiration from the “world class” Real Madrid attacker, and says he can learn a lot from the Belgian star.

“Eden is a world-class player,” Ziyech told the Telegraph.

“You always take inspiration from that, how he plays the game and you always look at the small things, how he does stuff and I can learn a lot from him.”

Zidane, Nacho back Hazard after new injury setback
Hazard is still a fantastically popular player among Chelsea fans for his service with the club, despite leaving for Madrid in 2019. And the 29-year-old previously told a Chelsea fan that he plans on returning to Stamford Bridge in the future.

Frank Khalid caught up with Hazard in December 2019 whilst the winger was recovering from injury.

“When I finish here I’ll come back,” Hazard said. Asked whether he has watched his old side on television Hazard replied: “Yeah, when I can I watch. Not all the time.

“They are doing well, they’re young. Now they can pay for players, they can buy players now.

“I do my job here and then I come back.”
