Chelsea evening headlines as Frank Lampard has five undroppable players in the Chelsea team
Chelsea have hit good form in recent weeks after a mixed start to the Premier League season.
Frank Lampard is beginning to settle on his best Chelsea XI and we can already see he is building his Chelsea team around five undroppable players.
Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech is one of Lampard’s untouchables after adding quality to Chelsea’s attack since his return from injury.
Ziyech missed the start of the season due to injury and the Blues lacked balance in attack without the Moroccan international.
Edouard Mendy is also an undroppable player for the Blues. He became the first Chelsea keeper since Petr Cech to keep a clean sheet in his first three Premier League outings.
Mendy also has three shutouts to his name in the Champions League against Sevilla, Krasnodar and former club Rennes.
Thiago Silva is also an undroppable player for the Blues after adding experience to a young Chelsea defence. Silva won’t play every game for Chelsea due to his age but expect to see him in the lineup for most games.
Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante remains an ever presence at the base of midfield and the Frenchman is back to his best after brushing aside last season’s injury worries.
Timo Werner is already Chelsea’s main man and looks settled following his £47m move from RB Leipzig. The 24-year-old has eight goals to his name in 12 appearances for the Blues.
