Chelsea eyeing up ambitious £70 million move for La Liga star
According to reports, Chelsea are eyeing up a move for Atletico Madrid star Jose Gimenez.
The Uruguayan is a top target for the Blues and a January bid could be on the cards as Chelsea look to strengthen at the back.
The signing of Thiago Silva during the summer has helped tighten up Chelsea’s defence this season and the Blues see Gimenez as a long-term prospect.
Gimenez made 27 appearances last season for Atletico and his form has attracted the attention of most of the major sides in Europe.
