Chelsea finally agree deal for Maurizio Sarri

West London outfit Chelsea are reported to have reached an agreement with Italian Serie A outfit Juventus over manager Maurizio Sarri.

Maurizio Sarri is on the verge to be announced as Juventus manager after just one season at Stamford Bridge to replace Max Allegri who resigned his job at the end of the just-concluded season.

It is claimed that the Old Lady officials met with the Blues management and agreed to pay the £5 million compensation that was claimed before allowing Maurizio Sarri to return to Italy.

It would be recalled that Juventus were not interested in paying such an amount for the star former Napoli boss but they were forced to after the intervention of a third party.

Juventus will hope that Maurizio Sarri win bring in his Sarriball style and also deliver titles in the coming season but his major target should be the Champions League.

Back at Chelsea, he won the Europa League finals and finished third in the Premier League table to make his one year stay at Stamford Bridge a successful one.

Unfortunately, Maurizio Sarri was not on the good books of the fans and that was unacceptable to the club owner Roman Abramovich who also planned to sack him earlier in the course of the league.
