Chelsea have perfected the 3-4-3 formation- Premier League star hails Tuchel’s system
According to Tuchel, he looked at the Chelsea team and realised that the 3-4-3 system suits the balance of the team and the players at his disposal.
However, A few years ago, Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte introduced the 3-4-3 with style and bulldozed the rest of the league to win the Premier League title. And we’d all agree that Tuchel has taken it up the ladder.
Chelsea have conquered Europe with this, and are now set to conquer the Premier League this season. While Conte’s 3-4-3 relied more on counter, Tuchel’s 3-4-3 system is more dominant.
Chelsea are now setting up the pace for others to follow again, and Everton star Andros Townsend recently admitted to it.
For the first time this season, Everton altered their formation and played with three at the back as they came from behind to beat Burnley 3-1 at Goodison Park.
Townsend who scored a stunning goal enroute to their comeback victory admitted that Chelsea have perfected the 3-4-3.
He said: “We worked on it quite a bit during the international break. It’s a tough formation, Chelsea have perfected it but we’re still new in how we want to play it.
“Hopefully we’ll keep working on both formations so we can chop and change when we need to throughout the season.”
