Chelsea players finally reacted to Roman Abramovich’s sanctions

Every human tend to produce better results in a place of certainty, and this is also tenable with football players.

According to a report by the Guardian, the Chelsea players are ‘fearful’ over their futures at the club after the recent sanctions placed on the club by the UK government amid Roman Abramovich’s links with Russia president Vladimir Putin.

The report by the Guardian also claims that an unnamed dressing-room source describes the atmosphere in the Chelsea dressing room as ‘chaos’, with some players fearing the club might go into administration.

It also adds that there are also those who are worried about the long-term direction of the club. A separate concern is that Chelsea are banned from making transfers or renewing existing contracts.

Meanwhile, the Chelsea players responded perfectly with a 3-1 win over Norwich, and the first half performance was excellent.

Reacting to the uncertainty around Chelsea, Tuchel said: “I don’t know if I am concerned, but we are aware of it. It changes almost every day, so we cannot do much about it.

“We didn’t cause the situation, in the moment it seems like business is more or less protected, but let’s see. It can change tomorrow.

“It is not a relief for me personally, it is more joy [playing tonight]. I feel privileged to have the chance to be involved in games and coaching football, which is what I love.”
