Chelsea plotting shock move to re-sign former Chelsea superstar

According to reports, El Nacional claims that Chelsea is thinking about making an outrageous play for former Chelsea superstar forward Eden Hazard, whose future at Real Madrid is up in the air.

Hazard, 31, has struggled since moving to the Santiago Bernabeu in 2019 for £103.5 million from Chelsea.

Injury problems have plagued the Belgian star for the bulk of his time at Madrid. Since joining Los Blancos, he has missed more than 65 games and has been unavailable for more than 550 days. In his three years with Madrid, the striker has only made 66 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals and dishing out ten assists.

According to the aforementioned source, Los Blancos manager Carlo Ancelotti is out of strategies about how to make the most of Hazard.

It’s taking too long for him to get used to life at the Bernabeu. With the rise of individuals like Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo, he is just slipping lower down the food chain.

Currently, speculation suggests that Chelsea could make a move for their former star, who enjoyed enormous success at Stamford Bridge from 2012 to 2019.

Hazard became one of Europe’s most known forwards throughout those seven years in west London. The Belgian played 351 times for the Blues and contributed to two Premier League championship victories with 110 goals and 92 assists (2015 and 2017).

The Blues are willing to to a make a ‘downward’ offer for their former player and Madrid are reportedly open to negotiating his departure.

Hazard has two years left on his current deal with Real Madrid but a return to Chelsea may be in his sights.
