Chelsea ready to sign Philippe Coutinho but Barcelona fee could stall plans

According to The Daily Mail, Chelsea are ready to complete a deal for Philippe Coutinho this summer, but the Blues are not prepared to pay the £70million to sign him from Barcelona.

The Brazilian playmaker is currently on loan at Bayern Munich, but the German side reportedly are not planning to make the move permanent.

And the report claims Frank Lampard will only entertain a loan deal for the former Liverpool midfielder.

Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho’s teammate Emre Can has hailed the winger as ‘world class’ after the England international’s breakout season with Borussia Dortmund.

The 20-year-old joined the German club in 2017, but since the departure of Christian Pulisic to Chelsea the winger has become the main man with the club.

Sancho has netted 14 Bundesliga goals and added 15 assists to his name, getting two apiece in the Champions League on top.

And now, it’s expected that Sancho will move from Dortmund and potentially head back to England, with the Blues and Manchester United keen on him.
