Chelsea set for another injury boost as 22y/o Chelsea star returns for Brentford clash

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is to be handed an extra option in attack ahead of the game against Brentford.

Chelsea striker Armando Broja who was left out of the 2-2 draw against Arsenal after picking up a knock in training is back ahead of the game against Brentford this weekend.

The striker recently returned from a knee injury that kept him out for almost a year and he scored on his first start in the league at Fulham. The 22-year-old also started the game against Burnley before the international break and only picked up a knock on international duty when he travlled to Albania to play for his country.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino confirmed he’d miss the game against Arsenal but assured fans the latest setback had nothing to do with the injury that kept him out for large parts of last season.

He told reporters: “We need to assess Axel Disasi, assess Nico Jackson, we need to assess also Reece. Broja is out because rotation problem in his knee but it is another knee, not the one that was the problem from the past.”

Chelsea are now unbeaten in their last four games in all competitions and are favourites to beat Brentford at home even though they have only managed three wins, three defeats and three draws in their first nine games under Mauricio Pochettino in the league.

They however have played so well in the last month there is feeling that they are beginning to turn the tide and heading in the right right direction under Mauiricio Pochettino.
