Chelsea set to agree £80million deal to complete World-class double defensive signing

Chelsea are set to continue their transfer spending spree as the Blues are keen to improve their defence which has mostly been a disaster this season.

Chelsea’s defensive frailties were again evident in their last match against Crystal Palace but the Blues are now set to agree a double deal to improve their defence ahead of next season. Chelsea have conceded so many goals this season and Frank Lampard started the defence is not “good enough”.

Chelsea have now reportedly opened another talks with RB Leipzig to complete the signing of highly rated French Defender Dayot Upamencano even after Chelsea have already signed Timo Werner from the German club.

21-year old Dayot Upamencano is regarded as one of the best young defenders in Europe and the young Frenchman has been linked with a move to top European clubs.

Chelsea looks set to be his destination as the Blues have reportedly held negotiations to sign the player. Chelsea will have to pay in the region of £50m to complete the signing of the player.

Also, Chelsea have long been linked with the signing of Alex Telles as the likes of Marcos Alonso and Emerson have failed to impress Frank Lampard this season.

Alex Telles is regarded as one of the best attacking full-backs in Europe and his tremendous performances for Porto has impressed Chelsea scouts. The Left-back has scored 11 goals and laid Nine assist for Porto and his stats shows how effective he is in attack and defense.

Alex Telles has been a Chelsea target for a long time now and he seems to be the preferred target for the Blues as Ben Chilwell seems to be too expensive. However, The arrival of both defenders will massively bolster Chelsea’s defence as the London club seeks to compete for trophies next season.
